Our Roots
Industrial Mill & Maintenance Supply was founded by Alex Tipton in 1979. Originally headquartered in the garage of Mr. Tipton’s home, business grew rapidly and, after six months, the company moved to a nearby office. In 1982, IMM moved to its current location at 4401 Waco Street in Texarkana, TX. Today, IMM is a bustling business with 40 employees and five locations in three states. From our inception, as a one-man garage operation to our current position as a regional leader, our consistent goal is your satisfaction.Second Generation
Scott Tipton took over the role as acting President for Industrial Mill in 2006, after the retirement of his father, Alex. Assisted by our VP of Sales & Marketing Carl Knowlton along with our dedicated staff, Scott is carrying on the Tipton family business with some of the same values instilled in him by his father. These traditional values along with the flexibility to change as our customer’s needs change have helped us become a regional leader. Representing the third generation of Tipton to join the family business, Scott’s daughter and son, Tiffany and Hunter, are working hand in hand to ensure that the same customer first philosophy still rings true.IMM History

Scott Tipton
Scott Tipton has devoted his entire career to the industrial market. Scott acquired the ability to listen to a customer’s needs and envision a solution that will not only improve productivity but also reduce customer expenditures. Inheriting the same customer- first philosophy that his father believed in, Scott serves as President of Industrial Mill.
Carl Knowlton
Carl Knowlton has been employed with Industrial Mill since 2005. Starting in outside sales, Carl quickly advanced to become our VP of Sales and Marketing. Along with assisting our inside and outside sales team with meeting goals and finding solutions to any technical need that may arise, he makes every effort so that each of his customers feel they are his top priority.
Jason Coffee
Jason Coffee started his career with Industrial Mill and Maintenance in 2010. He brings 17 years of experience serving the industrial and maintenance supply industries. From his beginnings as a delivery driver to his current position as outside sales he has a large territory in Arkansas and Texas. He has managed to capture business while giving his customers the ultimate experience in service.

Richard Oakes
Richard Oakes has been employed with Industrial Mill since 1990. From his beginnings as a delivery driver to his current position as outside sales, he has always gone the extra mile to ensure that our customers receive that high level of customer service that they deserve. He continues to excel in building customer relationships and assisting customers in finding the perfect solution for any needs that they may have.
Cody Fountain
Cody Fountain started his career with Industrial Mill and Maintenance in 2017. He brings 18 years of experience serving the Energy, Aerospace, and Railcar Industries. Cody looks forward to providing his customers with the most productive and cost efficient solutions.
Heath Hampton
Heath Hampton has over 18 years of technical experience in industrial distribution. Starting with Industrial Mill in 2005, Heath has been on the ground floor helping customers with programing needs and finding any avenue to provide cost savings to his customers.
Herbert Bedfgood
I have been with the Industrial Mill & Maintenance team for 2 months but I have been in outside sales for the Cutting Tool and Industrial Supply Business for 16 years. I cover Southern Arkansas, Central & North Louisiana and Western Mississippi. Make my customers aware of the latest tooling technology offered for increased productivity and cost saving opportunities. I love the relationships and friendships that have been developed with customers over the years.
